What it is and what you do with it: a role playing game with LEGO DUPLO train set

Build and drive your train, load and unload rail cars, board and unboard passengers etc.

What we liked: the concept. Good range of activities. Illustrations and animations featuring virtual LEGO bricks and characters. Ease of use. No distracting elements.

What we didn't like: no narration or voice instructions. Requires parental assistance (for narration and explanation, some of the activities are not self-explanatory and may be too difficult for children to solve).

What it is/what you do with it: a simple arcade game with vehicles built from virtual LEGO bricks.

Build a vehicle from pre-set parts (4 parts for each vehicle), then drive it and collect small LEGO pieces along the way (good score unlocks additional vehicle parts).

What we liked: easy operation, the 'fun factor', precise control and response of the vehicles. A nice app for the younger LEGO fans.

What we didn't like: limited number of vehicle parts, the game is not too challenging for more 'game-savvy' players. The puzzle minigames are very simple. The colors are somehow dull. Limited educational value.

What it is: 5 songs with the LEGO DUPLO theme and a simple memory game.

What you do with it: listen to the songs and watch simple animations (e.g. the LEGO train running through the forest). Touch the objects in the scene for extra sounds and interaction (like change the colors of the rainbow). Record up to 3 own sounds for each scene. Play a very simple version of the memory game with 3 pairs of pictures.

What we liked: not much...

What we didn't like: limited interaction with not much purpose (mostly touching the objects to make them jump or speed up or slow down), many objects will be too difficult to control for smaller kids (they will be difficult to grab or they just move too fast). The memory game has 3 pairs of the same pictures every time you play the game. Very limited educational value.
