Rube Works: Rube Goldberg Game - Android Version

Price: 2.99$

Android

Overall Score: 88/100

version reviewed: 2.0.1

reviewed:

Best for: Brain teasers, Attention & concentration, Thinking & problem solving

What it is/what you do with it: a set of 18 challenging puzzles based on Rube Goldberg crazy 'inventions'.

Arrange props in the correct order to complete the machine and win points and achievements.

For example use a magnifying glass, a jack-in-the-box, hot water bottle, pet Albanian Ook, an orange and a couple of strings to create the perfect alarm clock.

Sometimes the solution can be found in different ways - you get maximum stars for the 'perfect' solution (e.g. using all props).

What we liked: the concept. Excellent set of challenging puzzles. Humor and fun factor. Cool 3d visuals. Sound backgrounds and sounds. Great educational factor. Great for Rube Goldberg fans. Rewards/achievements (with Game Center integration).

What we didn't like: the app could be more responsive.

What it is/what you do with it: a set of puzzles based on geometric shapes (tangram-like).

Slide the pieces into place to reveal the object.

6 themes (Pirates, Farm, Arctic, Egypt, Forest, Rainbow) 36 puzzles in total.

What we liked: the concept. Good variety of puzzles. Cool 3D illustrations (with the option to 'spin' the 3D object). Ease of use. No ads or other distracting features.

What we didn't like: we wish there were more educational features (like the 'Magic Trick' option). No spoken instructions.
