Slice It!

What it is: a puzzle game combining geometry and logical thinking skills.

What you do with it: 'slice' the geometrical shapes into required number of pieces, trying to obtain pieces of equal size. There are options to undo a bad move or replay the level to get a better result. There are 200 levels with increasing difficulty and additional obstacles (fortunately there is a special hint system based on credits). The game has 5 star scoring system and the scores can be shared or compared online.

What we liked: the concept, the game requires logical thinking and imagination, the app is very well put together (fast, responsive, simple but good graphics), .

What we didn't like: cluttered interface (why not make a simpler kid-friendly version?), the puzzles can be too challenging.

Please note: this app is aimed at players older than the usual Appysmarts target but with some help from a parent the easiest levels should be fine. Please try the free version of this app yourself and evaluate if it is not too challenging for your child.
