My Little Pet for iPad

What it is: an interactive play pet (5 characters to choose from).

What you do with it: touch or poke the pet for simple responses (e.g. cry, giggle etc). Use the action buttons for more actions (e.g. make the pet eat the watermelon, play the guitar). 'Edit' your pet (colors, shapes), dress it up then save it to the photo library on the device.

What we liked: ease of use, simple graphics, number of functions in the 'pet editor'.

What we didn't like: limited range of 'responses' and actions. Limited educational value. Use of 'system' menus for some navigation actions. Nagging requests to turn on location services.
