LetterSchool - Spelling Words! - Android Version

What it is and what you do with it: app teaching kids how to spell over 100 3 letter common English words.

The words are divided into groups of 3 (similar words, phonics, syllables). There are 3 exercises for each group of words:
- first letter missing (choose the correct letter to complete the word)
- all letters mixed up (choose the correct letter in each position)
- all letters missing (spell the whole word)

After each task is complete kids are presented with a simple interactive animation (e.g. tap letters to throw snowballs at them).

What we liked: the concept. Fun visuals. Ease of use. Extensive set of 3 letter words. 3 difficulty levels. Great for early learning practice (phonics, word and syllable formation and spelling).

What we didn't like: the reward interactions are very basic and may not offer enough encouragement for longer play. No detailed progress tracking.
