Learn To Count HD

What it is: an app for introducing basic math concepts (numbers, counting) with songs and rhymes.

What you do with it: 8 songs/activities helping children learn to count: listen to the songs and watch animations with numbers: counting by 1's, by 2's, by 3's, adding one number (activities 1-6 and 8), pointing to the correct number (activity 7).

What we liked: the concept (introducing maths in a fun, stress-free environment), vivid graphics, number of activities.

What we didn't like: there is no consistency in the activities (both in terms of educational concept and visually). Some of the songs and activities are just too complex or introduce unnecessary elements (e.g. the reading practice in the 'one more please' activity). We wish there were more (and better) tasks for active practice (like the 'Number House' activity). The narrator has a strong accent. The music backgrounds are sometimes a bit distracting.
