DragonBox Big Numbers

What it is/what you do with it: strategy/farming game helping kids understand 'big' (tens, hundreds, thousands) numbers: simple addition, simple subtraction, addition and subtraction with carryovers etc.

Help Nooms arrange their world: start by planting apple trees to pick apples that can be exchanged for coins (or pebbles or gems) then slowly 'populate' your world. Exchange various items to unlock new parts or get 'helpers' (who will help you plant even more trees).

What we liked: the concept. Excellent set of engaging activities introducing kids to 'big' numbers and math operations. Tons of details, gadgets and power-ups. Cool visuals. Fun Noom characters. Ease of use. Sound backgrounds and sound effects. No ads or other distracting features.

What we didn't like: requires tons of patience (progress can be veeeeery slow).
