What it is: an app for creating virtual robots.

What you do with it: design your robot by from available parts (heads, bodies, arms). Name your robot and pick a scenery then view a simple animation (robot's head will spin, legs and arms will move etc).

What we liked: the concept, fun factor (especially for younger kids), cool illustrations. The narration and instructions (the app is based on a book 'Lots of Bots' by David A. Carter and Noelle Carter). The options to save, edit, or share your creations.

What we didn't like: not much educational value. Parental assistance required (navigation through the menus, naming the robot). May not be too enticing for older kids (there is not much to do with the robot after you create it - you just watch the robot wriggle and spin). We found the sounds (of the moving robot parts) too loud and too aggressive.

Bottom line: great fun for all young robot constructors.
