What it is: alphabet and reading activities with 26 monsters.

What you do with it: 2 short activities: a minibook (see the monsters with names beginning with the consecutive letters and have the descriptions read to you and a simple 'match the first letter' activity. Additionally, the instrumental version of the 'ABC song' with monster/alphabet slideshow and the 'monster dictionary'.

What we liked: nice illustrations, the idea to put the instructional videos (although the activities are simple enough that you don't need them).

What we didn't like: the matching maze activity is very simple from the educational point of view ('pick the first letter from the 4 choices'), on the other hand it is almost unsolvable unless you already know the names of the monsters. The app crashed several times. Please note Pictures of some of the creatures may be disturbing to younger or sensitive children. We recommend you use this app only if your kids are really into the 'monster theme' and will not be put off by the headless Xing Tian...
