What it is and what you do with it: a racing game with extra educational activities.
Create and customize your car and race it around a city track. Collect coins to buy extra parts and accessories for the car.
Educational activities (during obligatory race pit-stops) include: number identification, counting and enumeration, number comparisons, simple addition and subtraction, number sequencing.
What we liked: the concept. Variety of car customization options. Reward/motivation system with coins, extra parts and trophies. Narration and spoken instructions. Sounds and sound backgrounds. Original Team Umizoomi artwork. Multiple player accounts. Overall quality of the app.
What we didn't like: the math activities are very basic and offer little variety. The 'driving experience' could be better (you just jump from lane to lane to steer the car). Only one track to race on.

What we liked: the concept. The story and gameplay keep kids focused on solving math problems to complete the game. Great artwork. Humor and fun factor. Narration and spoken instructions. Multiple difficulty levels. Easy game controls. Overall quality of the app.
What we didn't like: requires good hand-eye coordination, when the math problems may not be enough challenging for the upper age range.

What it is/what you do with it: a pack of activities (about 11 different activities) for developing and strengthening early math skills. 3 difficulty levels (easy: two digit addition and subtraction, ordering of numbers; medium: odd and even numbers, number sequencing; hard: more difficult subtraction, problem solving tasks and multiplication).
What we liked: the concept. Spoken instructions. Ease of use. Simple graphics and animations. No distracting elements. Progress tracking feature.
What we didn't like: there is no option to choose a particular activity or group of activities. The activities can get a bit repetitive after some time (we wish there was more variety). No clues for more difficult problems (we recommend parental assistance). The rewards system may not be motivating enough for the target age group.
