Math Mathews Multiplications

What it is: 3 mini-games for times tables practice (numbers from 1 to 9).

What you do with it: complete the adventures of Captain Mathews by solving various multiplication problems. Collect coins and treasure along the way.

What we liked: the concept (learning math in a game-like environment). Good variety of educational activities as an integral part of the game. Good 'game experience' (the storyline, bonuses, rewards etc). Multiple user accounts with detailed progress tracking. Illustrations and animations. Sounds and sound backgrounds. Overall 'look and feel' of the app.

What we didn't like: no narration, no spoken instructions (that's why we recommend parental assistance). Some elements of the games could be a bit more polished (e.g. the bonus levels take a long time to complete, the Secret Temple level was challenging even for our adult reviewer).
